Building a strong foundation
Driven by a commitment to creating a truly transformative logistics programme, we initiated the centralisation of our logistics functions. We harmonised disparate local inventory tools under one global platform. This enabled us to control and reuse materials locally and across the Vodafone Group, dramatically improving our profitability while simultaneously reducing our environmental footprint.
Logistics 2.0 (2020-2024)
Smart planning and smarter execution
Devising a five-year strategy for demand management and supply planning was the highest on our agenda in 2020. We set out to digitalise disconnected manual activities into a better-planned model across the supply chain – enhancing material availability while reducing costs. At the core of our transformation, we embrace the power of advanced technology to improve efficiency and gain control over our network logistics.
Logistics 3.0 (after 2025)
Where innovation meets infrastructure
Our strategy for the future includes establishing a best-practice model for regional logistics in Europe and Africa, increasing global agility and productivity through these advanced technologies, and leveraging complete network visibility and control. This means unprecedented supply chain resilience, faster network deployment, and improved strategic partnerships for our ecosystem. Our vision is to make logistics a strategic differentiator that propels businesses forward in ways previously unimaginable.
